Standard Window Sash Balances
Pullman window sash balances are the preferred solution for new and existing double-hung wood window installations and for historic renovations and restorations where the original look of the windows must be preserved. An added benefit is the ability to insulate the old lead sash weight pockets during installation when the sash is removed. Spring balance replaces window weight, sash, or previous spring balancer reels.
Pullman standard balances come in two configurations:
Side type: For balances that are mounded on the side of the window (most common)
Overhead type: For balances that are mounted above the window

Standard Window Sash Balance Part Numbers
Pullman window sash balances are available in a wide range of weights from 4 to 105 pounds.
To determine window sash weight, place any ordinary household or bathroom scale on the sill and lower the sash until its full weight is recorded.
- Balances are sold individually
- Weights are based on 2 balances per individual sash
- For single balances used on mechanical devices, divide the weight shown by 2
